Sanding and Smoothing the Wicker Surface

What happens here

After the initial cleaning, use a small orbital sander equipped with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 220-grit) to lightly sand the entire surface of the wicker chair. This process helps to smooth out any rough patches, remove remnants of old finishes, and create a better adhesion surface for the new paint. Work carefully around the curves and intricate areas of the wicker. The video shows the sander connected to a vacuum hose for efficient dust extraction.
