(8,900 characters)hey this is chriso painter here on paint Life TV today I want to talk about a machine that I recently posted called the expert stain machine now a real I just posted on Instagram is over 6 million views now and you know one of the things I keep seeing it's going to be just um a mother to clean and so and it's going to take you forever so it's not going to be you the setup um because it's going to take me you know all day or days at clean so I want to just you know address that and we'll talk about um how simple and easy it is to clean now when you're watching me um use this machine you know I got to say um I'm using expert um stain and seal oil which is non-drying self-leveling oil so um given that information if you've never heard about this product um it's very important important when using it with this machine cuz I can take uh use this machine and I can set this machine aside and I can literally let it set aside for a week and if I'm using the same color I can come back and just um start using it again because the brushes and rollers installed in the machine they'll never dry cuz it's a non-drying oil so that actually makes it clean up very simple and easy I believe it has four foam rollers in it and I believe 12 brushes in it loosen the thumb screws you know all the brushes come out um the rollers thumb screws they lift out the foam rollers slide off then I actually just toss them in a bucket so because they um will never dry I don't have to worry about cleaning them if I'm using the same color or similar color next time all I'm going to do is just I put rubber gloves on latex gloves I'll ring them out stack all my brushes and my rollers in one bucket it all fits in a 5G bucket I put a lid on it and I'm going to reuse it next time if you're going to reuse it um uh again in the future but you're going to change say like do a drastically different color it cleans up with da dish soap all I do everything's in the 5 gallon bucket I squired in like a bunch of Dawn dish soap in there with warm water I'm going to squish ring them out a little bit they're going to clean up literally in like five minutes you don't have to get 100% of the stain off because um all stains you know it's going to get get saturated with the other stained color and within say one picket it's not going to there's not going to be any issue you know anymore so the brushes and um foam rollers clean up super fast the machine itself now everything's pulled out it literally everything comes out of the machine like really fast cuz the thumb screws are easy so it's all out of the machine now the machine you know is emptied of oil cuz you've opened the petcock it's emptied down into your 5 gallon bucket now you can um if you want to actually clean the machine out if you're very particular like me I just use dond disa warm water Dono and rinse it out in an area um obviously like not on a driveway a walkway um probably not in the customer's grass somewhere you know in in a dirted area or a barked area um just wash it out it doesn't take very much to wash it out it took me maybe 5 minutes to wash mine out with Dawn dish so and then when I was done washing it out with Don dish soap I'm very particular about it being extremely clean I just use crocodile cloth to um wipe it all out to eliminate any kind of like oily residue you know on it but Don dish soap is amazing for um cutting grease cutting oils one of the things about expert stain and seal oil it's environmentally friendly it is not going to kill grass it's not going to you know har harm the environment at all and da dish soap also is environment safe it's what they use in oil spills to um to clean you know live animals to um revive them and so they don't die so it's a great product and it is a good grease and oil cutter so the process is I would say I I spent you know each time I cleaned um the machine itself it was probably 15 minutes to clean and I would say it doesn't take any longer to um maybe just a little bit longer to clean the machine uh versus cleaning airless sprayer so you say you one of the you know the tricks to it too is um just using latex throwaway gloves so you know when I was using the machine you know I use gloves cuz I don't want oil on my hands and you I get a lot of flack from that but um the latex throwaway gloves when you're clean the machine you're handling the rollers pulling the rollers off just pull everything off put it in your five G bucket throw your take latex gloves away and um you're not going to have this messy dirty process proc but you know once again I take the machine and now the legs actually come off of it and then I can store it you know simply and easily in my shed and I store the rollers the rollers are reusable the brushes and rollers reusable I've used them multiple times and they do last now you if you want to do like a faster um say a clean up and change over you can have you'll say if you predominantly use three colors uh 3 five buckets that have um uh Russian roller sets for each color now your changeover is going to be super quick super fast and super easy to change over you know from those three colors we typically you know I I have you know five colors that you know I give an option to you know um customers to choose from so you can even have five buckets it's easy to store five buckets you know with those but once again it's it's so simple and easy to clean up hopefully this you know answers some of the question questions you about the cleanup process another thing you I wanted to talk about is people keep seeing me you know handling the boards you're pulling the boards out you know obviously I'm not going to say you know you could see it's leaving a fingerprint on the board and um that would be an issue if you're using um like latex products or products that do dry um and aren't self self-leveling now experts saying in Seal you um one of the unique things about it you could spray a fence and just absolutely saturate it it could start to run and it self levels the runs are all going to go away it does not have to be back brushed when you're applying you can spray it no back brushing ABS is necessary I always back brush cuz that's just um what I feel you know a professional should do so we always back brush it but the self-leveling aspect of it um and the the deep penetration of the oil when you're grabbing the board and you're stacking it that finger P that you've left on there it actually self-levels itself begins to um absorb into the boards itself and literally you cannot see it 100% guaranteed now um and down stacking too and so you're you we typically stand them up for about an hour so we're um stacking them someplace you know standing up and then we down stack them you know um probably about an hour later and they're stacked up and because they are self-leveling and deep penetrating the oil just begins penetrating into the wood and there's nothing that's going to stick tack or dry so they're going to come right apart because it's not a drying oil so for using um like poly urethanized semi-transparent stains or transparent St yep you're going to have problems with it sticking tacking and all that stuff so I mean I highly recommend experts stain and seal oil especially when you're using this machine because of you know the the handling of it you're never going to see see um any fingerprints when you're stacking them like you'll see me in some of the videos you're stacking in the grass you know because once again it's non-drying it's not going to dry and stick to the grass you're not going to have grass sto to it it's going to continue to penetrate into the wood and it's not going to be an issue it also is Eco and environmentally friendly so it's not going to kill the grass if you got any stain on the grass the first mowing job it's going to it's going to go away same with like the overspray when you're spraying you know it on a fence you know with an airless sprayer and if you get any overspray on the grass it it's not going to kill the grass it's not going to harm the grass it's not bad for the environment the first mowing it's going to go right away you obviously should be putting cardboard Shields something down to protect it but it's not going to you know hurt the grass so there's a little bit of um hopefully I answer the questions about the cleanup hopefully I answered um you know questions about what about the fingerprints if you have any you know uh any more questions about the cleanup just leave it you know in the comment section below and I'll answer those um so a lot of them they weren't questions they were just you know um you know thousands of statements that the cleanup is going to be an absolute pain in the neck but I can absolutely assure you that it was a very simple easy process and um probably easier than cleaning up an AOS sprayer [Music]
