Tractor University: Proper Mower Deck Setup for Brush Hogging
What happens here
Before starting to mow, perform a final pre-operation check. This includes ensuring all moving parts are lubricated (gearbox full of oil, PTO shaft and wheel lubricated every 4-6 hours of use or each time it's used), and conducting a thorough visual inspection for any loose or damaged components. When starting the PTO, engage it at a slow speed and gradually increase to operating speed to check for unusual vibrations or noises. The host then proceeds to mow a very rough, green, and stump-filled field, demonstrating the brush hog's capability. Drone footage shows the 'before' and 'after' of the field, highlighting the effectiveness of the heavy-duty brush hog.
Goal: Safely operate the brush hog and observe its performance.
