Tractor Repairs...replacing quick coupler on the John Deere 5065 and much more!
What happens here
To remove the faulty quick-connect, first locate the snap ring. Using needle-nose pliers, carefully pry the snap ring out of its groove. Once the snap ring is removed, reach into the rear of the fitting with an adjustable wrench and loosen the fitting from the hydraulic line. Make sure to bleed off any residual pressure in the hydraulic line by wiggling the connector or pressing the valve before completely removing it to avoid a sudden spray of hydraulic fluid.
Goal: Detach the old quick-connect hydraulic coupler from the tractor.
