Tractor mounted Snowblower for a skid steer VS Heavy wet snow

What happens here

Shane discusses the electrical connections and hydraulic couplers of the snowblower. He shows a wire harness that plugs directly into the skid steer's electrical system, noting that Quick Attach provides various versions to match different skid steer models, including those from Bobcat and Caterpillar (e.g., 14-pin connectors). For skid steers without any electrical output, they offer a generic wire harness that connects to the battery and includes a handheld controller, allowing operation of the snowblower's electrical features regardless of the machine's existing electrical interface. He also points out the half-inch hydraulic couplers, which are generally universal, though some high-flow models may require larger couplers.

Goal: Understand the different electrical and hydraulic connection options for snowblower attachments.

  • Skid Steer Loader Bobcat — Providing electrical and hydraulic power to the snowblower

electrical connection. It's not pure hydraulic. So, we just plug this uh wire harness right into your skid steer. We have many different versions, and we probably have a version that plugs into your skid steer loader. Shane's been out here freezing all day long. I don't think his digits are working any better than mine are. So, these are the hydraulic uh couplers, and so that's where you get your hydraulic power from. And these are 1/2 in body size. Those are universals pretty much. Yeah, they're pretty universal. Some high flow models are bigger than that. Um, and this is ASVs are right. Cats are You had to change the cats. Yep. The cats are bigger on the high flow. And the ASVs are for sure. Yep. Right. Okay. This particular one that we're showing here is a 14 pin. There's 14 holes in it. And this probably goes on a D series Caterpillar. But, uh, Bobcat also has a 14 pin version. And we even have a wire harness for skid steers that don't have any electrical on them at all. It's just a generic wire harness. So, you can hook it up to your battery. And it has a little handheld controller. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So, you can you can run any snowblower with that cutting edge. I want to talk about that real quick. So, bolt on and uh reversible. So, you're going to get a lot of life out of that. So, that's an important thing to make sure you guys know what kind of cutting edge you're going to get cuz that sucker
