Tractor Driving Posts for Kentucky 4 Board Fencing
What happens here
Before driving the post, start the tractor and engage the PTO to power the post driver's hydraulics. Using the control panel levers, maneuver the post driver into position. Raise the driver head, carefully insert a post into the cradle, ensuring the three spikes on the driver head engage the top center of the post. Use the slew arm, tele arm, and mast tilt functions to align the post perfectly with the mason string and ensure it's vertically level using the 24-inch level. Once properly positioned and leveled, begin to slowly drive the post into the ground, intermittently checking the level and depth (using the marked PVC pipe height tool). Continue driving until the desired height mark on the PVC pipe aligns with the ground. Finally, disengage the post driver by using the homemade PVC tool to lift the chain off the post, allowing the spikes to release.
Goal: Install fence posts securely and precisely.
