Tool Tuesday's Cheap Saw Challenge!

hey there folks this is josh stoney ridge farmer welcome back to another tool tuesdays here on the stoney ridge farm and we are playing with battery-powered tools today except for i can no longer play with this battery-powered tool because the battery keeps falling out of it so i've had this reciprocating saw it's a dewalt reciprocating saw for somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 years and i started reaching out being a guy on youtube i started reaching out to companies to find myself a new reciprocating sauce i reached out to the company that makes the least expensive the cheapest reciprocating saw on amazon and today we're going to do a little bit of a review on this this is how how would i say this is this a sponsored video uh they did send me this to try out on the farm and they also sent this leaf blower it's like a homeowner grade leaf blower so today we're going to have a little bit of fun with some snap fresh inexpensive tools that you might need around your house have you back we do all kinds of stuff and tool tuesday is one of my favorite days because we get to play with new tools here on the farm we're going to sit this guy to the side the little leaf blower this is how they both come they both come in vox just like this the leaf blower box is a little bit bigger than the reciprocating saw box we don't need these boxes but if you leave a comment down rechargeable battery you can get the 2.0 milliamp uh battery 20 volt i think it's 2.0 let me read that yep 2.0 amp hour or the big daddy 4.0 amp hour and that's what we've got right here so very simple very simple tool uh 2.0 i i don't notice any difference except for the longevity of the battery okay there's no real difference in the power that this thing has i don't you can hear a little bit of a difference i guess again this is the bigger battery right here each one of these retails this retails for around 89 bucks and the other one retails for around 79 bucks 69 69 bucks um this saw versus i'm gonna want to call it a sawzall so bad this reciprocating saw comes with all sorts of blades and i just dropped one i think it comes with four or five different types of blades what we've been using mostly is the pruning blade and this is a wood cutting blade this is the pruning blade and right here behind my house we've been going back through here and cutting out the little pine saplings that have been coming up because they'll just simply take over and today we're going to jump back in here and do a little bit of pruning we're also going to cut some steel rod with it and we're going to cut a little bit of copper pipe we'll show you each kind of blade now let's slide this stuff to the side and we'll talk about the leaf blower this is not the strongest leaf blower on planet earth this is a homeowner grade leaf blower this is something that's light enough that mom or grandma or grandpa could pick it up and take it out and blow the back porch off or something like that so very handy little leaf blower if they were mowing the yard outside or whatever and need to blow some debris this thing is where it's at i think it has two different settings yep a low and a high very simple and again i have the four amp hour battery in this guy too let's see what the difference is see if you can hear a difference i hear no difference it's just the longevity of the battery so without further ado let's take this guy we're going to blow off the porch let you see the power of it and again there'll be coupon codes for these guys down in the video description this is several leaf blowers on the farm uh this is not something that i would use to say blow our driveway which is 400 feet long i wouldn't use that i would use like a backpack blower or something like that but this is perfect for that small homeowner or a person that uh that just gets out and does a little bit of work around their house so let's let her rip tater chip so not not really a powerhouse of a blower let's let's give it the face test uh yep it it'll blow your hat off your head it i don't know i i think it's pretty good for a homeowner grade type leaf blower that's what i'll say um i have much much much more powerful leaf blowers than this and we have a big farm so this would be something you blow out your garage your carport or your back porch with now let's grab the reciprocating saw and we're going to head out into the bushes and give her a try all right so we're back here behind the house where things have grown up and i'm gonna just take the reciprocating saw with the pruning blade oh yeah it does great awesome awesome so if you guys have places on your homestead like mine that are growing up with brush and debris then this thing is the ticket right here uh last saw we reviewed was a steel chain a miniature chainsaw and that thing did a great job also however it cost about 100 bucks more than this and for somebody who just has a small backyard or wants to do a couple little projects around the house i think this is the ticket nice get a lot done in just a short period of time cool all right so what tells the tale here let's go try it out on some metal all right easy breezy to change the battery out we don't need to change the battery out but you just push a little button right here and it releases the battery it comes with a battery and a charger but it comes with the 2.0 amp hour and i think you can order it with the 4.0 amp hour but there'll be a coupon code i'm asking these guys to send a coupon code for all their stuff for all the snap fresh stuff so hopefully there'll be a coupon code that's a universal snap fresh coupon code now in order to change out the blade there's just a little tab right here i'll turn this tab and the blade just pops right out and we're gonna put our metal cutting blade on here there we go much easier than using an old hacksaw or something like that uh and just about as cheap as buying a good hacksaw really so the first thing let's cut simple enough some copper pipe got some copper tubing right here this is half inch copper tubing we're gonna let her rip oh yeah good to go one more time if i can hang on to it hang on let it rip one more time here oh yeah man it does great be better if you had it in a vise uh next thing that we're gonna use and this comes with wood cutting blade a pruning blade a bi-metal what i call a bi-metal blade it's a wood cutting blade that'll cut pretty much anything like pvc pipe stuff like that and this critter right here let's see this is a steel rod we're gonna lop it off right here here we go [Applause] i tried to make it grunt push as hard as i could i could not make it grunt let's do it one more time yeah no grunt so all in all i don't know if the snap fresh is going to last as long as that dewalt would last but man all in all great tool seems to be awesome used it probably burnt through four batteries on it so far just running around pruning cutting little pine trees and little just a little scrubby brush back here behind the house it's done a great job hasn't let me down yet i just gave it all i could give it just now and it didn't bog down or anything so i don't know for the least expensive reciprocating saw for that homeowner that needs something to go out and trim them limbs on their trees in their front yard or something like that i
