Pour and Finish Concrete Base

What happens here

Mix bags of Quikrete concrete with water in a suitable container, such as the front-end loader bucket of a tractor, to achieve a workable consistency. Pour the mixed concrete into the tire, ensuring it encapsulates the base of the float valve stand and the U-shaped drain pipe. Use a level (or other straight edge) to mark the desired height for the concrete, ensuring it's flush with the bottom rim of the tire where the cut sidewall was removed. Smooth and finish the concrete surface, ensuring it is level and provides a clean, easily cleanable surface for the water tank. Allow the concrete to cure completely as per manufacturer instructions.

Goal: Mix and pour concrete inside the tire to create a solid, stable base that secures the plumbing.
