This Simple Tractor Upgrade Changes Everything

What happens here

Begin by removing the valve core from the existing tractor tire's air-water valve. Attach the three-piece 'installer' tool to the valve stem. This tool screws into the valve and features a long rod that engages and pulls back the valve core, allowing the liquid ballast to be pumped out. Connect a hose from the installer tool to a fluid transfer pump, and another hose from the pump to a large collection tote for the old fluid. Ensure the collection tote is large enough for the full volume of liquid, and has graduations to monitor the amount removed. Set the pump's selector lever to 'pull' to begin evacuating the old methanol-based fluid from the tire.

Goal: Safely remove corrosive methanol ballast from the tractor tires.
