This is Not a good time for shingles 🥶 #roofing #carpentry #construction #coldweather

What happens here

Once the underlayment is in place and the nailer is working as consistently as possible, begin installing the roofing shingles. Start from the bottom edge of the roof (eave) and work upwards, carefully overlapping each course according to the shingle manufacturer's specifications. Use the pneumatic nailer to secure each shingle with the appropriate number of nails in the designated nailing strip. Pay close attention to alignment and ensure a tight, weather-resistant fit. In cold conditions, shingles can be brittle, so handle them with care.

Goal: Cover the roof with the final weather-protective layer of asphalt shingles.
