Prepare and Install Flashing

What happens here

Prepare the roof flashing by cutting the flexible rubber boot to match the diameter of the post mount's shaft. Use a utility knife to carefully trim along the marked grooves until the opening is slightly smaller than the shaft for a tight seal. Load a tube of sealant into a caulk gun. Apply a generous bead of roofing sealant to the underside of the metal flange of the flashing. Carefully place the flashing over the post mount shaft and firmly press the metal flange down onto the roof surface, ensuring the sealant creates a watertight barrier.
