THESE OLD ONES AREN'T SAFE!! HELPING OUT A NEIGHBOR IN NEED..
What happens here
To create robust electrical connections, first slide a piece of heat shrink tubing over one of the wires. Twist the corresponding wires (dark to dark, bright to bright) from the golf cart and the new LED lights together. Apply flux to the twisted wires, then solder them securely using a soldering iron. After the solder cools, slide the heat shrink tubing over the connection and use a propane torch to evenly heat and shrink the tubing, creating a watertight and durable seal.
Goal: Create secure and weather-proof electrical connections
Tools and materials
- Propane Torch Coleman — Shrinking the heat shrink tubing
- Soldering Iron Weller — Joining electrical wires together
- Wire Strippers — Stripping insulation from wires (implied)
- Flux — Assisting solder flow for better connections
- Heat Shrink Tubing — Insulating and protecting soldered wire connections
- Propane Canister Coleman — Fueling the propane torch
- Solder — Creating electrical connections
