LAST DAY OF 30 ACRE LAND CLEARING PROJECT....HARROWING!

hi folks its josh tony rich farmer welcome to the farm vlog today today is the last day the final day that these guys are here with their machines clear and land okay so we're basically all done for the spring land clearing project except for my part and my part is picking up the rocks and sticks and cleaning up the land and sowing the grass so tomorrow's vlog or the next day's vlog I'll be out sowing grass we've got a rain storm coming in and I've got to get busy on this we're just going to walk around and tell you a little bit about what's going on and as I fly the drone over I'll talk to you a little bit more about what we would have done differently and how everything turned out we're really happy with how everything turned out we want to show you the machine right here this thing has a thumb on it and it grabs stuff and picks it up that's how it picks up the stumps it just grabs with this big old hydraulic thumb pretty cool [Music] Neeraj vow oh all right so they're pulling away guys what we did here the last final step is run a gigantic disc harrow over i've got the drone footage of the disc care and we'll talk you through it as we fly over and that'll be it thanks a lot be sure to click that like button give me a thumbs up if you're new to the channel please subscribe to the channel you can watch our farm grow to a beautiful place thanks a lot guys and we'll see you soon here we are we're riding and that is a 16-foot wide disc harrow it's a really heavy disc harrow and basically it's just chopping up the soil sometimes we'll go over it two or three times in order to chop up the soil but this trip we only went over at once and that is a piece of railroad that's dragging behind that thing you can see right here where he's making the turn he has to lift it up off the ground it has a hydraulic cylinder on there and lifts it up off the ground and then this is just a pretty cool perspective the entire project probably was somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 acres 20 to 30 acres of clearing this gives you a great perspective on the new land and all that that's you see is bare dirt used to be forests and we left a couple select trees the beautiful trees and cut out all the old scrubby trees really really beautiful it's gonna turn out really awesome nice view from our front porch we'll get over here next to the pond here in a second and show you that so disc harrows just chopping along it took them about four hours to disk this whole thing up and then this gives you a beautiful perspective of the pond and what it looks like and very very nice very very beautiful great projects turning out to be a beautiful farm and we're really proud of it so thanks a lot
