These guys really brought a Milwaukee Heater to a customer’s house, was this a good job? #electric

What happens here

A fish tape is used to pull the 8 gauge electrical wires through the previously installed 1/2-inch EMT conduit from the electrical panel to the Tesla Wall Connector mounting location. Once the wires are pulled through, the insulation from the ends of the 8 gauge wires is carefully stripped to expose the bare copper conductors. This includes stripping the outer jacket and then the individual wire insulation for each conductor (hot, hot, ground). Finally, each stripped wire is connected to its respective terminal within the Tesla charger's internal wiring compartment, and these connections are torqued (tightened to a specified value) using a screwdriver to ensure a secure and safe electrical connection.

Goal: Connect the 8 gauge wires to the Tesla Wall Connector

Tools and materials

  • Fish Tape — Pulling electrical wires through the conduit
  • Screwdriver — Tightening wire terminal connections (torquing)
  • Wire Strippers — Removing insulation from the 8 gauge wires
  • 8 Gauge Wire — Electrical connection within the charger unit
