What happens here

This project provides a straightforward method to remove melted plastic from a dishwasher's heating element, which often causes a burnt smell. It involves using heat to soften the plastic, scraping it off with a plastic card, cleaning the element with vinegar, and finally, running a vinegar cycle to eliminate lingering odors.

If your dishwasher smells burnt, check this first. So, a couple days ago a plastic spatula melted on the heating element of my dishwasher. We're going to go ahead and we're going to take a hair dryer and that's going to soften up our plastic and then we're going to scrape it off with a card of some sort. Um this is just an empty gift card that I had laying around. So, let's get after it. So, I got white vinegar and old dish rag and I'm just going to wipe this heating element down. That's nice and smooth. I cleaned it, I wiped it. So, basically what you're looking at now is that is carbonized plastic residue that's on there and that'll burn off eventually. Now, if it smells really bad, put a cup of white vinegar on the top rack of your dishwasher and run that through a couple heat cycles and that white vinegar should take all the smell out of everything. So, anyways, I got dishes to do. I'll talk to you guys later. Peace.
