The EASIEST Way To Build A Ground Level Deck - NO FOOTINGS!

What happens here

With multiple people, carefully lift and slide the assembled deck frame into its designated position against the retaining wall. If working alone or with limited help, it is advisable to frame only the perimeter initially, move it, and then install the internal joists on-site to reduce weight. Use a level to ensure the entire frame is sitting perfectly level on the stone base. Adjust any high or low spots by adding or removing stone beneath the frame, tapping it into place with a sledgehammer or pry bar. Once leveled, connect the new deck frame to the adjacent retaining wall using structural lag screws to create a cohesive and stable unit.

Goal: Securely install and level the first deck frame section.
