What happens here

This video provides a detailed overview and demonstration of various commercial snow plows and heavy equipment typically used in professional snow removal and landscaping. While not a step-by-step DIY building guide, it showcases robust, specialized tools that perform tasks often relevant to ambitious DIYers or small businesses, such as clearing large driveways or properties. Featured equipment includes an innovative Defiance rear snow plow with articulating wings, a Caterpillar compact track loader with a snow plow attachment, and a heavy-duty Metal Pless snow plow, highlighting their features, operational modes, and market details.

we are going to look at the new Defiance rear snowplow system okay and the owner for this snow plow system tell me a little bit about his history because this is something not a lot of people don't know the one of the owners of defiance is the from the family that developed the boss no plow yep and the blizzard snowplow right and they're also related to the ants trailer correct so the and they also do cattle trailers so this is not something that these guys are dipping their toe in the water they've got a history in the snow industry and Manufacturing as well correct so they've been in the snow industry for quite some time and Cal nimala is with us today and so this is this is what we're looking at right here this is this the world's first this would be the first um this is the the first Defiance plow that actually angles so it's a back plow that will actually angle with 180 degree reversible Wings correct okay and that's the guy that's the guy as soon as he's off the phone he's with us okay all the way up and look at that just pulled all the way out just like that and then I wonder if she'll fold all the way again look at they've got it's got to go into full containment let's find out who's the guy right here cow yes sir how you doing nice to meet you Stan yeah yeah good to meet you nice to meet you so will These Wings fold all the way in cow These Wings will they fold all the way in to become a boxer when you're dragging no they go into a straight semi-school semi semi scoop what a semi-school I mean just I'll show you oh crap you're starting this truck up in here foreign [Music] okay so that's as far in as you go that's our scoop right there okay so that's you don't go down the road with the wings folded in you go down the road with the wings folded back then completely folded back compact position can you show us wow [Music] so now all your Hydraulics and vital components are protected when you go up to a door with with it folded in like this you're six and a half or eight and a half feet wide you're all fully enclosed you're compact you can plow push or pull in in all positions Now show us the thing that makes this unique that no other Pope plow will do kale that would be our angle position yep [Applause] so we can uh yeah effectively windrow snow and pop them Wings all the way out for me would you count that is a thing of beauty [Applause] look at that oh my God so tell me about the testing on this has this actually been on the market have people been using it or what's going on we designed it we built one unit and we tested that two years ago we made some adjustments we added some we beefed it up we had a few areas that we were seeing some fatigue and we wanted to be bulletproof so we beefed it up we put four units out in the field last year Buffalo Cedar Rapids couple in Michigan and this is the design we're going and this is not going to be for sale anytime soon kale or is this going to be coming to actual Market it's coming to market for uh early 23. and can we also tell people that you're making this for heavy equipment as well we're going to be having a knockoff of this A variation of it that's going to be for the compact wheel loaders it's going to be a front mounted plow horse and it's going to be uh this one is the 6 16 foot blade it'll be a 14 footer for the compact wheel okay so let's look at some of the unique things that I've never seen before we've got that's a moldy urethane we call it an excluder a hinge excluder it keeps the snow from flowing between the wing and the main blade and it's molded urethane we've got a molded urethane cutting edges that are live we've got about an inch of of up and down they're segmented so that you can conform to the plowing surface how are they how are they live they've got composite Springs inside that are in here in this in this tube frame no up and up well up in this cavity here there's it's a little hard to describe but this profile of this of this Edge comes down it drops down and it it allows uh there's a a spring similar to those right there but orientated differently compression springs what are you going to sell it for 16.9 we run a uh you've got your heavy power coming back from the engine compartment one wire we have our control cable that comes back to uh well from here from the back up to the cab of the truck so that's that's our wiring program [Music] [Applause] [Music] what we have on the control stand is uh some presets on here I can do a single tap and or actually a double tap will bring me uh in sorry [Music] and I can run the wings independently in the same with the same presets where will this be available Kel um Patrick and iron Valley here is going to be our dealer in Minnesota in Minnesota and we're going to be setting up independent dealers throughout the country okay yeah and you help develop originally the Boss snow plows then the blizzard and your family also does trailers so not only snowplows are familiar to you but Manufacturing in general is kind of in your wheelhouse yeah we've been manufacturing since we were kids my brothers and I so it's a it's a lifelong Endeavor okay and that is coming out 2020 fall 2023 uh limited to be delivering to dealers in summer 23 next next Following Season how many units you think will be available Nationwide uh it's going to be limited production we're going to have 50 to 100. I was gonna say I'm gonna guess 50 units so but if you're one of 50 people that watch this video and you want one you better get on uh get paid get Pat Patrick what's your phone number so people want this they and they want to order one you're the only person we know of that's going to be selling it at this point six five one eight two nine four five four seven or ironvalleye equipment.com there you go you guys seen it here first if that's not worth a thumbs up then just let me know I'll come over to your house and bake you some fresh chocolate chip cookies and then maybe you'll give me a thumbs up on my video but that's it for this one thank you Cal thank you Patrick thank you Stan a lot more of the show to go let's keep moving all right you guys I'm going into the versiloc booth and I had no clue this is my buddy Jim how's it going Stan my verse like this is I had no clue this was gonna happen look at that they got the block spinning Versa lock the gold standard that's because this is my preferred block of choice of every retaining wall block out there it is the only one that is solid and pinned and I've kind of nicknamed this block right here the gold standard of retaining wall blocks because I've never used a Better Block in my life and no I'm not getting paid to say this in fact I pay these guys a lot of money every year [Laughter] it is I sat down at lunch and wrote you a quarter million dollars in checks one time yeah you know we love you Stan yeah but I love their blocks so there you go all right you guys we are looking at the cat 299 D3 there's a few new things about it that I do want to point out one thing that you're going to notice this is the Land Management package it's got two external fuel tanks these two fuel tanks right here take this machine from 32 gallons up to 58 gallons so more than double the capacity on it this is a hundred and forty five thousand dollar piece of equipment that's just the power plant alone not including the snowplow my question to you guys is is this plow an HLA or a metal Clips I know it's branded cat but I don't know who cat works with on this model so if you guys know let me know in the comments down below I've never seen that uh that plow before so I need to know that for sure all right guys we're at storm equipment booth and I'm looking at a metal that's how these are big dogs look at how heavy duty those things are built I'm gonna jump in here because I've never ran a metal Quest I've got nothing good or bad to say about them but I will share some of the stories that I have heard some companies swear by these things they will run Nothing But Metal plus and they love them and that's awesome I'm glad to hear that other companies swear at them meaning they've had problems with maintenance and issues with hoses and couplers and things like that I can't confirm nor deny that so if you guys have experience comment down below so this whole thing this whole side rail from this point will go up and down right there so your guys's stories are the absolute best and you guys are super passionate about your snow plows and I totally totally get that so if you've got a metal plus story good or bad yeah comment down below but I will share one that I thought was pretty darn interesting one of you guys came up to me at a show and told me that you had bought in a used metal plus plow used it for seven years and then sold it for the same price that you bought it now I don't know if their their ability to hold their market value if that's typical or atypical but I thought it was a darn good thing to know because basically that dude got to use his snow plow for absolutely free for seven years all right now my question to you is that Defiance snowplow in the beginning what do you think of that thing and second thing that that uh snow plow on that cat what do you think that and what is it and obviously it doesn't look like it's a metal plus so who makes that one and if you've got a good metal plus story let me know in the comments down below but that's it for this video God bless you guys go get him and we will catch you on the next one which I promise is going to start to look more like summer because look at our snow was finally going away we got snow there there there there but it's going away finally we've had our first 60 degree day it's April 9th we got our first 60 degree day since November
