Here we have our airwaves vacuum system. This is a 24-in x 24 in vacuum table with a 5 CFM pump plumbed in from the side using an 8 mm uh hose system. We've got a/4in spoil board here. This would be kind of your sanding station or your platform that you would use to cut small parts or hold small parts. We're going to turn the vacuum pump on. We're pulling air directly through this MDF spoil board here. When you go to prep your surfaces, small parts aren't going to hold very well. So, what we have is our tile gasket, and we seal the surface by 95% restricting the air flow through each 1/4in vacuum port. So, when you put a small part on there, you now create independent vacuum pockets under the part right there that holds it in place. So, each 1/4in hole becomes a negative pressure differential, and that's what's holding the part in place. This little piece of melamine, if you were to sand it or refinish it or go to cut it, wouldn't hold very well on a vacuum system. But with our tile gasket, you can now hold that in place, get full palm sanding across this. You don't have to worry about clamps, double-sided tape, any residue left on the part. It's all vacuum.
