the HARDSCAPERS tool and EQUIPMENT show!

What happens here

Keith from Keystone Hardscapes introduces the Stonegate Country Manor System, a solid block system that uses pins for structural connections rather than adhesives. He demonstrates how the blocks can be configured for various applications like vertical walls, setbacks, and two-faced structures, with options for three different pinning configurations. He emphasizes that all engineering details and design manuals are provided, making it easier for contractors to implement these versatile blocks.

Goal: Learn about the structural integrity and design flexibility of Keystone's Stonegate block system.

Tools and materials

  • Design Manual Keystone Hardscapes — Providing engineering details and installation instructions
  • Pins — Connecting the blocks together

them that help you um oh there we go it's got the basics oh there you go it's basic engineering design stuff this is this is exactly what i learned on and technically i learned it from keystone when i first got started the first block i ever used the first blocks i ever used for many many years were all keystone so all of this engineering that i'm familiar with and i talk about today originally started from uh off from the keystone system so yeah cool well thanks keith thanks man appreciate it i'm stan ryan nice to meet you how are you good thanks so you do lighting yeah okay so this company the company here is wac landscape lighting uh talked about a hardscape life here for a site switch with me enough easy for me to operate the screwdriver with my right hand here so this is our this is our hardscape light and what's neat about this particular fixture is you have the ability to adjust wattage and you have the ability to adjust kelvin temperature right in the fixture so normally you're going to specify 2700 degrees or 3000 degrees kelvin if you get to a job site your spec 2700 there's a chance maybe okay the material uh with the color the texture maybe it's going to turn a little bit differently than you thought you'd want a different color temperature you're going to take a phillips head screwdriver you're going to see these notches here this is for kelvin temperature so what we're going to do take your screwdriver right now this is on 2700 i'm going to turn this and you'll see the light change now we are on 3000 degrees kelvin okay you also have the ability to adjust wattage so this fixture goes from 4.5 to a half a watt so right now we are on 4.5 we're going to change it all the way down to a half a lot where that comes into play let's say somebody has a tiered wall at the low point it's three feet at the high point it could be six seven feet at three and a half feet four and a half watts is probably too powerful you're gonna overpower the plant material you can overpower the walkway so you adjust that to keep it in line with the rest of the wall the best feature though about this particular fixture is the we have a quick disconnection with a triple o-ring connection point okay let's say 10-15 years down the road
