The goal is for framing to be as straight and flat as possible, and these joists make that easy!
What happens here
After the main support beams are in place, the worker begins installing the deck joists. A joist is positioned between the ledger board (attached to the house) and the outer beam, and then secured using a cordless drill/driver. This forms the main framework that will support the deck boards.
Goal: Create the main horizontal framework for the deck surface.
