The Deckorators stealthlock clip is music to our ears 🎶👂

What happens here

To begin securing the deck boards with hidden fasteners, first position yourself comfortably on the partially installed deck. Take the specialized hidden deck fastening jig, which in this video appears similar to a Kreg Deck Jig, and place it firmly against the edge of the deck board you wish to secure. Ensure the jig is aligned directly over an underlying floor joist, as this is where the screw will anchor. Next, insert a specialized driver bit, which typically comes with the hidden fastening system and often features a square or star drive head, into the jig's guide hole. Attach an impact driver, such as the DeWalt model seen in the video, to the driver bit. With controlled force, activate the impact driver. It will emit a distinct, percussive sound as it rapidly drives a specialty hidden deck screw through the jig, at an angle, into the side of the deck board, and securely into the underlying floor joist. This angled fastening method effectively pulls the deck board tight to the joist and ensures that no screw heads are visible on the top surface of the deck. Repeat this precise action for each joist connection point along the length of the deck board, and for all subsequent deck boards, until the entire deck surface is securely fastened.

Goal: Secure deck boards with hidden fasteners for a smooth, fastener-free surface.

Tools and materials
