What happens here
At the rear of the trailer, the presenter demonstrates the spring-assisted, fold-flat ramps. She shows how these ramps, which feature a self-cleaning dovetail design, can be easily lowered and raised. The spring assist mechanism significantly reduces the manual effort required, making the process of loading and unloading heavy equipment smoother and safer. Once raised, they fold flat to become an integrated part of the trailer deck, maintaining a low profile for transport and offering a full flat deck when not in use.
Goal: Demonstrate the easy and safe operation of the rear loading ramps for cargo management.
Tools and materials
- Fold-Flat Ramps Down2Earth — Providing an inclined surface for driving equipment onto and off the trailer, then folding flush with the deck
- Self-Cleaning Dovetail Down2Earth — The angled rear section of the trailer deck, designed with an open structure to prevent debris accumulation
- Spring Assist Mechanism — A system of springs that counterbalance the weight of the ramps, making them easier to raise and lower
