Testing The Jake Brake In The Newell! (Straight Pipe Detroit Series 60)
What happens here
Once the paint is dry, the custom exhaust system, including the newly fabricated and painted sections, is bolted into place on the motorhome. The new bracket is secured to the chassis, preventing the exhaust pipe from rotating, while existing muffler stirrups are left in place to provide additional support and allow for easy re-installation of a muffler if desired in the future. The presenter uses a flashlight to show the installed pipe underneath the vehicle at night.
Goal: Securely mount the custom exhaust system to the motorhome
