Choose the Ideal Spray Fan Width

What happens here
The final step in selecting the correct nozzle is choosing the appropriate spray fan width. As previously explained, the first digit of the nozzle number (multiplied by 10) indicates the spray angle (e.g., 20, 30, 40, or 50 degrees). For covering large surfaces quickly, a wider fan angle (e.g., 40 or 50 degrees) is more efficient. Conversely, for smaller surfaces, detailed work, or areas with many corners (like door frames), a narrower fan angle (e.g., 20 or 30 degrees) provides more control and reduces overspray.
Goal: Finally, select the spray fan width (determined by the first digit of the nozzle number) based on the surface area you intend to paint. Use wider fans for large areas and narrower fans for smaller, detailed surfaces.
