What happens here
After thoroughly sweeping the sand into all joints and ensuring the paver surface is clean, perform a final inspection. Confirm that all joints are completely filled to the top edge of the pavers. Any residual polymeric sand left on the paver surface must be removed (e.g., with a leaf blower on a low setting or a very soft broom) as it can cure and leave an unsightly, permanent haze. Once the patio is perfectly clean and the joints are filled, gently mist the entire area with water to activate the polymeric binder. Always follow the manufacturer's specific instructions for watering, as precise water application (amount and technique) is critical for proper curing and to prevent issues like hazing or incomplete binding.
Goal: Secure the polymeric sand in the joints and prepare for curing.
