Sweep diagonal. #paverpatio #pavers #hardscape

What happens here

Using a stiff-bristled broom, begin sweeping the polymeric sand across the paver patio in a diagonal motion relative to the paver joints. As clearly demonstrated in the video, the sweeping angle should be approximately 45 degrees to the main joint lines. This diagonal technique is crucial because it effectively pushes the sand into the joints while preventing the broom's bristles from raking it back out. Continue sweeping repeatedly across the entire area, ensuring the sand is worked deep into all the cracks and crevices. The primary objective is to completely fill the joints to the top edge of the pavers and remove any excess sand from the surface of the pavers.

Goal: Efficiently and thoroughly fill paver joints with polymeric sand.

Tools and materials

  • Paver Patio — The surface being worked on
