What happens here

With the other hand, operate the paint sprayer, maintaining a consistent distance from the surface (typically 6-12 inches) and moving the spray gun in smooth, even passes parallel to the shield. The shield will effectively block any paint from reaching the protected surface, ensuring a clean, sharp line and significantly reducing the need for extensive cleanup.
