What happens here

Turn on the cold water faucet to ensure a steady stream of water is flowing into the garbage disposal. Locate the garbage disposal switch, typically found under the sink or on the countertop, and turn it on. As the disposal grinds, some pieces of ice and lime may remain on the surface; use your hand to gently push them down into the disposal while the water and motor are running, ensuring thorough grinding.
