SPRAYING INTERIOR CEILINGS painting ceilings with a sprayer. Ceiling painting instructions.

What happens here

The worker, wearing full PPE, systematically applies the paint to the ceiling. A slow, steady pace is maintained throughout the room, continuously walking back and forth. The gun tip is held consistently about 12 inches from the ceiling surface. Each spray pass is overlapped by approximately 50% with the previous pass to ensure complete and uniform coverage, preventing streaking or uneven finish. The goal is to make the paint appear "soaking wet" on the ceiling, allowing it to "jell out" for a smooth, lap-mark-free dry.

Goal: Apply the first coat of ceiling paint using an airless sprayer with a long extension, maintaining a consistent distance and speed while ensuring 50% overlap between passes.

right now. So, just watch as you're uh watching us spray. I just walk in this room spraying, keeping the tip around 12 to 16 in from the ceiling. And we're overlapping about 50% as we're spraying. And you want to walk, you want to walk slow enough that you can see that paint going on there going on there extremely thick and geling out. You don't want to be dry. You want it to be actually stopping wet across the whole ceiling. So it gels out and so you don't have any lap marks or dry marks at all in the ceiling. So watch the speed of us walking. Watch the overlap and watch as pain. Heat. Heat. So, part of the masking process, we're actually starting the spraying the masking. We've masked with 9 in paper and a box of 9x400 plastic we're dropping to protect the walls from getting any fallout or overspray. If you want to see that process, what we did, how we went around masking that, you can check out my new construction video right here. And that'll uh that's a series on how to uh paint the entire house, the new construction house that has bare dry sheetrock. And it shows you the whole process of masking with the 9x4 plastic and paper. And that video is right here. You can click on that video anytime to go ahead and watch that video of us masking to actually spray the ceilings. Heat.
