This is Chris Yan painter. In this video, I'm going to show you some tips and tricks on how we go about spraying ceilings with an airless sprayer. And we've got a house we're working on right here. And we've already painted the walls. And we're going to begin the process of spraying the ceilings now with an airless sprayer. And we're going to show you that process. I'm going to give you some tips and tricks of what it takes to actually spray these ceilings. So, now we're working on these ceilings. And we've got our airless sprayer set up out here in the garage. And if you don't know how to use an airless sprayer, I've never operated one, I do have a video right here. You can click on this video and that will teach you how to operate an airlift sprayer. But we got an aeros sprayer set up and it's running at approximately 3,000 PSI. In spraying ceilings, you want a really large tip so you don't have to walk and spray as much. It'll cover a lot more distance and leave less lap marks if there's going to be any lap marks. And we typically use a flat paint. So, we don't have any lap marks. If you use a satin paint or any type of paint machine, it'll use or show overlap marks or uh shiny spots where those lap marks are. So, using a flat paint is the best thing for spraying ceilings. And we're using a product from Sher Williams called Eminence. And we're going to be uh using a 1221 tip once again, and it's a large fan tip, and it puts out a lot of paint so we can spread these ceilings really fast. using a 30-inch gun extension. That way, we can walk and reach the ceilings really easily. These are all 8 foot ceilings and we can reach them with a 30-in gun extension. Just walk in the distance. Another thing is you don't want to have anything in your path that where you're walking. You want to be able to walk this whole room or the entire room where you're working without having to start and stop. Once we start spraying, we typically very rarely release our trigger while we're spraying. We're just walking back and forth, keeping that trigger down to uh maximize uh spraying and maximize that spits and so forth.
