Initial Knockdown and Masking Removal

What happens here

Returning to the original pink wall, after the initial texture application, the individual uses a drywall knife to 'knock down' the wet texture. This is achieved by lightly dragging the flat edge of the knife across the textured surface, flattening the peaks and creating the characteristic knockdown pattern. As the texture is being knocked down, sections of the masking paper protecting the bottom edge of the wall are carefully peeled away, revealing the clean transition line. This removal is performed while the texture is still wet to ensure clean edges and prevent tearing of the texture.
