Sometimes we all just need a little extra support!
What happens here
Following the creation of pilot holes, the installer re-seats the metal deck railing post onto its base plate. A mallet is then used to firmly tap the post into its final, flush position, ensuring it is securely engaged with the base and seated properly. Once the post is correctly seated, it is permanently secured from underneath the deck. This is achieved by using the cordless drill to drive fasteners through the base plate and into the deck structure, ensuring a robust and stable installation. A level should be used to confirm the post is plumb before final tightening.
Goal: Permanently fasten the post to the deck structure.
