What happens here
This project chronicles the extensive efforts required to manage heavy snowfall and ensure critical propane delivery to a remote cabin during winter. It involves clearing significant snow from vehicles, manually moving snow plows, operating heavy machinery (UTV with tracks and plow) to clear access paths, and coordinating with a propane delivery service, highlighting the challenges and solutions for maintaining a remote property in extreme conditions.

(6,716 characters)all right you guys we're off to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan because I guess they have more snow than us better my truck's almost full man of shove it that's a lot of freaking snow I'm glad somebody's getting more salt than we have all right well that's nice and clean let's drive six and a half hours north of here so we can go try to find some snow my wife bought me a heated steering wheel cover I have no clue how that's gonna work it's got a foreign here and then that plugs in I don't even know just the trucks still have cigarette lighters yes they do I thought that was except in California they're outlawed in California cigarette lighters I don't think this is going to go on anytime soon magical because it's just gonna be zoomed you're there for me I'm gonna stop and get fuel and then have to sleep someplace and then get up at four in the morning the next morning because I got to be there by 10. so yeah zero degrees out it's 11 32. just got to the cabin I was gonna go to sleep so I could go up north to Michigan seen the propane's at 10 percent in the house and the truck can't get to the propane tank to fill it we got to go out and plow a path out and still be able to go film for tomorrow let's get going give you an idea of what we're up against it's zero degrees out and this is my porch a good three and a half four feet of snow you'll have to get off so the propane tank up at the cabin is complete complete snowed in and the truck can't even get to it to fill it the propane is well under 10 which means that the furnaces are going to start shutting down if we can't clear a path to that tank and let the truck get to it ASAP but just to get to the snow plows means we've got a clearer path because the plows are buried inside of all of the garages where we're at up north got absolutely slammed with snow in comparison to what we're getting in the cities if that's even possible so let's just see if we can clear a spot to begin to get at the snowplow we need to clear a spot to get at the propane tank [Music] thank you foreign the mammoth is just overwhelmed by the snow so we legitimately hand carried the snow plow to the Gravely UTV out to it and we're hoping that that machine will have enough power to get us through the rest of this job that's a passable surface underneath that so let's see it makes your angle you can see yeah yeah if you can move your car back Thomas that'd be awesome snow Tarzan this might be the one vehicle on Earth but Alex can't get stuck this may be the one vehicle you can't get stuck yeah [Music] holy time anything good what do you think what else do you want to get I don't know I'd say I'd say you don't have to do any of this Alex but I don't know I'd hit the main pack a couple more four or five ten times and clean up this area a little bit but I can do it you go to bed yeah you hitting the hay yeah all right I'll see you in a couple hours yeah all right set this up now I get to play for those who are unaware cabins and houses in remote locations run off from propane they're not hooked up to a gas line and a propane tank can run out and when the propane tank runs out then your furnace runs out and your plumbing freezes up and your pipes burst so it's critical to be able for that propane truck to be able to get to that propane tank and keep it serviced at any time all right well I think we got her down to pretty Solid Ground I mean we got Crown so that's excellent and there's the propane tank is over there so he's got a clear Trail to that I get the Gravely backed up because she's super low on fuel but you can see how much snow she's sitting on like the driveway pushed off this way I don't really got to be super careful going down that way because I could slide right into the house I think that's not too bad I mean I think I think it's get the rest why again that's it though she is good you can get all the way in here no problems now if I can just get the propane truck to come tomorrow left outside and I heard a weird noise foreign beautiful sound of propane gushing into my tank is here they're here he said it was he said it was okay I talked to him I can smell the propane see how many gallons they put in a 500 gallon tank this should be interesting that'll tell us how low that was so how many gallons did you end up putting in a 500 gallon propane tank I did because they can only fill to 80 percent 361.2 because if it goes over 8 for you to run Vapor you don't run liquid in your house right yep so you have to have you can't fill them 100 right yeah you can never put 500 gallons in there 425 is Max 425 is Max Max on a 500 gallon so we still had 80 gallons of okay but it does look like your tank has a little bit of lean to it okay so next summer we're about to come out another one okay well it doesn't really affect anything does it affect how it reads the gauge a little bit it can so the more the tank leans the more the gauge could be thrown off like these are just a float gauge in there oh so like a in a vehicle there so if it's tipped weird it might not I float right okay so all right try to mess it up I can tell you the last time we were here sure did it show that we've called in in early December yeah [Music] first have you're at 10 we call the beginning of December then again on the 27th and then again so automatic bill cheese but why not and then if you ever run out of business on Saturday no no emergency charges why wouldn't the guy do that some people don't like it because they don't have control over it yeah okay I'll take that I'll weigh that loss of control over never worrying about having cocaine if you come out when it's at 30 percent 20 to 30 foreign so you can round okay okay and if you guys screw up then there's no leak test there's no sniff test we got to pay for nothing as long as right okay thank you sir appreciate it good one yeah you too oh careful there heck I didn't know any of that did you guys know any of that I think we're going on auto well that's gonna call it for this video Tank's plumb full again Heat's going to be back on on the in the places thankfully we didn't run completely bone dry it looked to me like I mean I don't know I thought we were done I thought she was getting cold because I woke up and it was cold in the house it is what it is glad glad nothing broke glad we got it in the nick of time that's for sure holy buckets that was too close for comfort in my book but that's all we got for you in this one God bless you guys stay [ __ ] stay safe with your shoveling I hope you enjoy the process I hope if you gotta move snow you can move it in a way that's fun we had fun doing it yes we actually do I will be the first students
