What happens here

This project details the process of clearing heavy snow and ice accumulation, specifically focusing on large, frozen snowbanks. The video demonstrates the use of skid steers equipped with both snow blowers and buckets to break up and remove hardened snow and ice from a parking lot and access roads. The project highlights challenges posed by icy conditions and the efficiency gained by using specialized heavy machinery.

that's at least nine foot tall at least [Music] that's actually the filtration for my giant aquarium it's all natural to hide completely hydroponic system but that's probably not why you guys are tuned in right you want to see me go out and have some Adventures blowing back snow Banks and if that's what you're tuned in for well then you're at the right place because that's where I'm going now except to make the 90 a little bit more interesting instead of it snowing it's not raining and it's February like they say in Minnesota if you want to see all four seasons just wait 10 minutes so let's get out there and let's start blowing back some ice Banks because basically what's happening at this point we've got these giant mounds of snow and the rain is coming down and it's freezing and then turning them into solid Banks of ice so our night should be pretty interesting in fact the next two or three nights should be pretty interesting but let's just dive into it and see what's gonna what's gonna be happening out on the site [Music] you're up good didn't you hey uh you haven't had a break yet so I'm gonna let you take that down to the gas station and check the tire pressure yeah they don't feel quite right so let's go I'll have you since you need a break anyway you can buy yourself a soda at the same time or whatever you need [Music] luckily for us we have a gas station right down the hill from our new snow plowing account and we can top off air gas diesel snacks whatever the guys need it is awesome being able to have a resource like that so close to home base [Music] thank you [Music] the plan for tonight is to blow back as much ice Banks as we possibly can and we're going to be using the ASV with the new moss Cox snow blower to do that but the problem is we can't get through the ice Banks to even begin to blow them because they are one solid mass of ice so we're gonna use the skid loader with the bucket to help break some of that up [Music] all right so I don't know if you can see me or not yeah there we go so this light right here was burnt out what what that skid right there lights don't work on so I'm robbing light from there to work on here so that way one skid loader at least has a full light so because I still need to figure out why that one is not working if anybody has any helpful tips on figuring out why a bobcat it 250 yeah why its lights aren't working please let me know in the comments down below foreign [Music] all right see this this is all pure ice I'm standing on we gotta shave it all the way down foreign how are the tires better yeah where are they at they said they were at like all over the place random whatever or one was I think like 28 the other one was 32 one was 40 I think one was at 50 they were all random supposed to be at 70 though right 75 but the machine only went to 70 so okay pounds less than what the tires are yeah I can feel it as soon as I got in that thing I was just like nope oh I know I know I need to do on my van because I can tell it was a burn through more fuel there you go there's always little tiny indicators of what's going on and why all right I'm gonna start busting I'm gonna start doing this if you want to go behind me and grab it out of the curb and pick it up and throw it up that's probably gonna work I'm I'm probably gonna swap out for a different bucket then for doing that because I can't see over that thing and I don't want to smash into anything what bucket do you have there here that you can switch to there's two dirt buckets on the other side of the uh pusher yeah look at the ice that's pure ice this just fell this just came down just today all right I'm gonna get to chipping away uh you do what you want to do then I just need this cleaned up because I can't scoop that up foreign [Applause] [Music] pretty quick that it works a lot better if I just shave it off in layers one at a time working that's not just snow that's just solid ice we're blowing foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we're trying to find that curved line so that when the upcoming snowstorms come we at least have an indicator of where that curve is and we've got a spot to at least put some extra snow because there's still a lot more winter left to come [Applause] [Music] thank you and the ice that we're currently dealing with is definitely messing with the muskox snow blower and I really don't feel like sticking my arm down at like Zach did so I'm just gonna bang it out [Music] foreign a wall of ice like a wall Pure Ice I can't even get through with a bucket it's gonna it's gonna destroy can't believe how well that thing is doing for one hey whatever I got loose right here that's it yeah don't even dig into that Hill because we're just gonna we're gonna destroy this before we move that all right uh I'm gonna go fill up the bulk tank and then uh you can go just concentrate on the other areas of the parking lot all right clean this little bit up right here and then you know what else to do right yeah just get all get out yet or whatever why [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] so the beauty about this snow blower is it allows me to do additional Services after the initial snowstorm has finally gone through and passed and also equipping my skids loader with a snowblower attachment allows me to charge a premium price that I typically could couldn't get if I just had a snow Pusher or a snow bucket on so if you guys are looking at getting one of these snow blowers just understand you can get anywhere from 50 to 100 extra dollars per hour just for the snow blower alone besides what you can get for the skid loader on top of it it's a win-win situation when you can get extra hours and charge a premium price just by adding one single attachment onto something you already own [Music] but of course a setup like this doesn't come cheap you've got to be aware of what you're getting into before you get into it skid loader comes in anywhere from seventy to eighty thousand dollars and then the snow blower attachment on the front of it is another fifteen thousand dollars putting this set up like you see here just a titch under a hundred thousand dollars [Music] thank you foreign [Music] now oddly enough this snow blower does not require high flow but this skid loader does have high flow so if you have a skid loader that doesn't have high flow it's not the end of the world to use this snow blower but if you do have a skid loader that does have high flow it's going to make this snowblower work a heck of a lot better [Music] foreign [Music] I've been looking all over for that son of a duck have you actually been yeah no it was down at the yard so I just grabbed it it was at the yard yeah it was in the shop but nice yeah seriously was in the shop so I just grabbed it and threw it on there one day that's Jake oh is it Jake did it oh yeah well if you want it back I could throw my own what do you got for an old one same the one that was on the single cab what is it what was it just a standard hitch I don't know just a piece of crap yeah just a regular hitch not a 250 hitch like that one was keep going oh is it that much more oh no keep going yeah 350. no keep going I bought that son of a duck for 450 bucks keep going no you're no because it's got the plate and the receiver and the whole nine yards that was about 450 to 500 bucks a little titch under 500 bucks you can't get a hitch anymore for anything well I'll give that one back to you because I think the ones that was on the single cab were just cheap ones that have been around for a while okay well you can keep it I don't need it uh what's going on out here oh we're just moving these piles here to clear up for these uh handicaps parking here [Music] it was like seriously out another probably 20 feet so what is he doing he's just throwing it in the lot and then you're pushing it down to the other end exactly yeah all right I'm gonna stick around for a bit I gotta help Zach bust up some of the mice chunks because it's just not blowing right so all right well I'm gonna set up a time lapse out here and we'll go from there if you look on the far left you'll see the handicap sign that's actually where the parking spots start that's how much snow we've gotten over the season that has completely taken over all of the handicapped spots and those got to be cleared up and cleaned out [Music] foreign [Music] riding along On today's adventure you guys if there's anything you want to see just let me know know in the comments down below but that's it for this one God bless and go get em you guys stay safe out there
