Should You Back Brush Stain? Spraying vs Back Brushing Stain.

What happens here

Prepare the stain by stirring it thoroughly. The presenter uses a piece of wood as an improvised stir stick for the Sherwin Williams WoodScapes semi-transparent water-based exterior house stain. He then pours 'Bug Juice,' an insecticide, into the stain and mixes it in, explaining that this product helps kill flying and crawling insects like spiders and mosquitoes. He emphasizes following the instructions for adding the insecticide to the stain. Next, select an appropriate spray tip for the paint sprayer, favoring a 515 tip for a heavy application, and adjust the pressure of the Titan 440 sprayer to around 800 PSI to control overspray. A sprayer saver is also demonstrated to efficiently use stain when levels are low in the bucket.

Goal: Mix stain with insecticide and set up the paint sprayer for application.
