What happens here

This project outlines the diagnostic process for identifying the causes of a high residential electricity bill, focusing on inefficient heating systems. It involves checking the main electrical service's current draw and identifying significant energy consumers like numerous baseboard heaters paired with outdated basic thermostats. The recommended DIY solution involves replacing these basic thermostats with smart thermostats to enable better energy management and reduce costs.

yeah some there be nest in there expensive yeah what is the rating 240 240 going down what does that mean all right so we got to the customer's house and they said that they've been having a huge spike in their electrical bill recently like $1,700 a month so they called us out to see why their bill was so high and we checked the main electrical panel inside the house and saw that their incoming service is drawing 50 continuous amps which is a lot the panel was rated at 200 amps but that's still a lot of amps but we figured it out guys we saw the customer had 20 baseboard heaters in the house and 13 basic thermostats which was causing the spike in the electric bill there was no Central AC in the house which means the customer was donating money to the utility so to fix the problem we told the customer he needs to keep his heat down and now we need to change all 13 of his basic thermostats to Smart thermostats and the energy bill can be monitored and reduced the job would take a full day follow if you want more electrical content
