Screwed over by an EX Employee

[Music] last year I sold two brand new hustler mowers to a kid and I call him a kid but technically he was an adult 19 or 20 years old and he had actually worked for me for a while and he was another YouTuber and I was trying to help him get started with his own business so I sold them two Hustler Moors for a steal of a deal and they were brand Bank knew it only used them to film a couple videos and to test out over the course of a season so they had maybe 25 30 hours on them when I sold them to him and I didn't make him buy them directly outright I let him he didn't have a whole lot of money to his name so I let him put down a $5,000 down payment on him and then he could pay me the rest off at the end of the season use him through the season make some money with him build his business and then pay me off at the end of the season you know August or so and uh go from there and that's when things started to go south was when that second payment was due and everything started to snowball from there and I'm getting a little ahead of the story I he actually I ended up I'm getting ahead of the story but I'm going to be seeing my mower come back to me for the first time here in just a moment so you guys are going to see it with me let's just look at what he brought back to me when he didn't pay me what he owed me and I'm going to tell you the story of what it took for me to get just one of the mowers back I sold them two but only one came back and it came back pretty brutalized let's just take a look those two are just batteries so what was wrong with this one uh this one I went uh all three that tire was flat this tire has a hole in it tried tried plugging it with a screw to see if it would actually hold there at least long enough to get it back here but it didn't it's like there's a another plug in the side of it on that side well that was already there yeah that one was already there I don't have a plug kit otherwise I would have plugged it okay this tire was flat that Tire's flat that was that one was flat went to go fire it up it wouldn't even come out a low uh low idle so I just kind of had to toodle it onto the trailer the first time really this was a brand spanking new mower did you ever hear what happened with this mower yeah U don't say the name yeah well I was just going to say what's his nuts what's his nuts it's uh you so sold it to him yep and well you sold it he thought what whatever else in his goofy mind yeah okay so what actually happened with this mower was in the spring of last year this is another YouTuber that I sold this too well he took the two mowers he gave me $5,000 down and he sold one of them for more than I sold to him without asking me he hadn't paid even paid off the mowers yet he hadn't paid them off and he already sold one of them off and didn't say a peep to me no then he was supposed to make payments so in August he's supposed to make a payment July he's supposed to make a payment and he's not making he made no payments no it's like if you're using them working them you should be able to make your payments well so I'll come October like bring me my mowers back not knowing that he'd already sold one of them right so one of them's got he's like oh I sold one I can't bring it back and I'm like you haven't paid for my mowers how can you sell my stuff without paying for it right yeah or at least asking you it's like hey I'm going to sell this more that's even the most at least reasonable thing to do so then he just starts giving me excuses oh I'll have you money in two weeks I'll have you money in three weeks he has he comes up with nothing Zach he comes up with no money pays me zero dollars towards the second mower now I'm I'm like already out one mower it's already gone I'm trying to get this one back so I'm like just get give me my mower back now he won't tell me where it's at all right just to protect him I've changed his name to duch or you could pronounce it a different way if you wanted to uh we'll just go back August 8th uh he's already laid down a payment oh I should be able to make August 31st happened September 6th I say got that money yet I get an excuse and I said you said a few week weeks back you'd have the money how much time do you need so on September 20th I say do you got the payment cuz he hadn't made any payments yet I get more excuses then he says he could make a payment $2,000 and I said perfect mail it nothing comes in the mail October 11th I say last time you communicated you were sending out a payment how's that going more excuses then he says he's going to mail out $1,500 and I'm like yeah mail that out more excuses more excuses more excuses basically at this point I say bring my mowers back and I say and he says I can't I sold one of them I'm like you sold one of them without paying me for it now at this point he says he's still mowing not sure what he's mowing but he wants to finish out the season with my mow work so at this point I just want my mowers back it's October he hasn't made a payment and I'm asking for my mow mowers back and I say where are you storing the mowers and he says in a locked up area and I said what's the address Waterton what's the address it's gated and surveillance a Mini Storage in Waterton and by this point he sold one of them he hasn't paid me for the other one and all I know is he's going to sell the other one and I'm not going to have anything he's going to have gotten two brand new mowers for $5,000 so I said I'm coming to get my mowers you can deliver them back or I'm going to come and get my mowers but here's the thing I've never repoed anything in my life so I just straightforward honestly say I'm going to let the police know I'm coming to get my mowers cuz the last thing I want to do is show up to get my mowers and have the police called on me here's his response don't threaten me Stanley I can't make this stuff up and I said so I say I'm not threatening you I'm going to cover up his name so I say I'm not threatening you I'm letting you know what my plan is as far as I'm concerned if my mowers aren't back by Monday October 23rd I'm going to the police I'm going to let them know what's happening with my mowers and I'm coming out to get them how do you expect me to get your payments if you don't let me finish this year it's October he's used them all year long he's made no payments and he won't tell me where so he says all right well I'm coming out and I've never repoed anything I don't know anything about repoing I've never I mean if I've sold something to somebody I know that you know what I only sell it to people I've Trust and Believe in and I trusted and believed in this this kid totally cuz I was trying to help him out right I mean I don't know how to repost I'm like I'm going to go to the police and I'm going to let them know I'm coming to pick up my mowers right cuz that's just basically yeah I've had that before where you go to the police they'll escort you to go get your stuff as long as you have like all the paperwork and whatnot and I I think that's the right way to do it I mean I don't know like I said I've never repot a thing in my life re way of doing it instead of going in dirty hairy style so then he's telling me no you're not and I'm like they're my mowers how can you not how can I not go get them right he's like no no no no you're not coming again I'm like yeah I'm going to go to the police and I gave him a deadline and I says on this day I'm going to your police I'm going to let them know what I'm going to do cuz the last thing I want to do is show up with my truck and trailer right and have them called on me so finally I convince them to just bring my mower back it's just the easiest way to do it we won't involve the police I just want what I I'm owed back to me but the time he brings it back it's late at night it's pitch black I can't see the condition of the mower cuz all we're doing is unloading in headlights and he brings his dad with him and this is where things get a little bit weird you know what his dad does I got Alex there with me his dad starts chewing me out now I'm like like wait a minute you're chewing me your son didn't pay for the mowers took them wouldn't return them forced me to F find out where they were and then when I told him ahead of time that I'm going to have I'm going to go to the police so that I don't get in trouble you're now chewing me out and he's like yeah you were threatening my son and I'm like I'm not threatening I I'm not threatening I said I honestly mean I will call the police because I will call the police I have done nothing wrong here he's like go ahead call the police and I'm like done you're standing right here with me in my yard he's like load them back up he's telling and his son now they're load offloaded in my yard he's like load them back up I'm like no no no no now they're my mowers on my property you are not loading them up that is technically stealing now now you now you've gotten too far I dare you to go ahead and do that I say you do that and I will follow you down the road while I'm on the police and I will personally watch you guys get hauled off to the crossbar motel and I will Clap the entire freaking wait you know and we I think money wrecks people I that's all I can say is if you really want to know what a person is like borrow them money and if they pay you back and they're good about it that's probably a pretty decent person but if money makes them funny and not in a good way that's probably who they are inside I don't maybe I'm wrong but have you guys ever had borrowed something to somebody or had somebody owe you money or something else and you thought they were one way and you found out that they were nothing like that I think the true intentions the True Heart of a person comes out when it comes to money and I don't know what it is about money that just makes people not good maybe that's just me but let me know what your guys' experience been if you ever borrowed somebody money or maybe sold something or I mean I don't know it just was a it was weird this was a very weird situation from start to finish but that's it for this video I glad I got my mower back what we ended up doing is tucking that mower away way in the far back corner of the shop kind of out of sight out of mind buried it and then this spring we pulled it out and that's the first time that I really had a chance to really take a look at it I mean it looked yellow and black when he dropped it off but it was Pitch Black I didn't realize it had been rode hard and put away wet and and returned in such horrible condition but that's going to call it for this one let me know what's uh let me know your
