What happens here
After successfully drilling the hole, carefully remove the drill and hole saw. Inspect the newly created opening to ensure it is clean, circular, and free from any rough edges, cracks, or delamination of the fiberglass. Any rough edges can be carefully smoothed with a fine-grit sandpaper or file. The circular piece of fiberglass that was cut out can be retained. As demonstrated in the video, this cutout can serve as a color sample for future reference, such as when matching repairs or pool accessories, or simply as a memento of the project.
Goal: Verify hole quality and repurpose the fiberglass cutout
