What happens here
Unbox the Rachio Smart Sprinkler (single zone). This particular model also connects to a hub (though not shown in detail in the unboxing). Attach the Rachio timer to a hose bib (water spigot). Using the companion app, set up a watering program. The app allows you to name the zone (e.g., 'lawn', 'vegetable garden', 'flowers'), set a start time (e.g., 8:00 PM), choose the frequency (e.g., every day), and specify the duration (e.g., 3.5 hours for three zones total). The app can also check for rain delays, preventing unnecessary watering. Demonstrate initiating a manual test from the app, which visibly turns on the water flow through the timer and connected hoses.
