all right so I'm here uh with Nate from sashco Nate so we've done a few videos on your products we absolutely love them and um yeah we can't shake hands perfect so i' I see some stuff here that I've never seen before so I'm familiar with lexel I've used it before but you actually have white lexel we do we have it in a cartridge and a squeeze tube if you ever need to use something below freezing or it's about to rain you know and big stretch's not the perfect time for that you can you can go with the white lexo you also have white um and black in through the roof so I've used through the roof it actually works absolutely amazing I use the clear but you got white and black too so I didn't know that yes so um any difference between them they're the same just color it's it's just to match you know if you've got a black flashing that you're you're going next to or something like that uh White is very popular for gutters right so you got you got a leaky gutter that's what you want to use so I I did add some leaky gutters it cost me I think $1,000 to replace them I probably could have just smeared some through the roof on them but now here's something I haven't seen this looks like if you really got some serious problems with your roof you just like just dump this on your whole roof I don't recommend that people put it on their whole roof but it is kind of cool in that for catastrophic damage right like let's say you need a new roof contractor can't get out there for a few weeks you can kind of slather this on if you had a tree fall on it right get pushed over on your roof or something like that it it's also unique so through the roof is pretty thick right you're putting it on a very specific spot to seal a specific leak right where you've got a penetration or something like that I have had people tell me like I had a roof leak I couldn't find it and so they did just kind of slather this around the area and because this is thinner it can kind of sneak down in kind of acts like the water but then cures up to seal the leak and so they they got rid of a leak that they'd have for like seven years so the consistency is a little bit different than what's in the tube then too so it's a little bit thinner is what you're saying yeah you're actually brushing that on usually people are using foam brushes to brush that on brush it on cool so um walking down the line we've got some um products whoa here's something right down here what's this right here I haven't seen that before I don't think I've ever told you about this before so well you keeping secrets from me now that's I actually did the tour of your facility and you kept the secret from me so so you know about the log home side of our business I do right this is sealant for use with logs specifically can still be used for wood signing let's say right but it comes in a bunch of different colors to match different stained wood colors right and it's perfect for uh those matches specifically you know if you imagine the the log home type right you can you can expand it to siding too but if you imagine those log homes you've got a curved log right it's Bo out so especially on the top third of that log imagine you have a crack developed in the log right not the sealant but in the log if it gets moisture in there that's a problem that moisture is going to sit in there it might rot but also what happens when it freezes right the water's sitting in there it's literally splitting the log open right so you take this and you fill those cracks right and now you're going to have more durable home is it tintable this one is not so you can see the the color right there we have I didn't actually bring a color card of this one but we have I want to say we have eight different colors a lot of colors so is this um considered chinking this is not chinking we do have chinking as well this is actually a sealant so the chinking is more textured and it would be more similar to like a Mor Flex where you're you're looking for that look that's textured this is actually smooth so this isn't what you're going to use in between your logs a with this is going to be splits and cracks checks in your logs you got it so conceal is what it is got to check that out so I'll have to get some of that test it out cuz we do have a log home and and it does have lots of splits checks cracks in it so um pretty cool all right so we're here at the sasco booth we got a pretty cool product that sashco is demonstrating right here it's exact color sealant so it can be uh tinted to any color of paint manufacturer you want right that's right we made about 60 different colors here mixed them all up couple weeks ago and brought them for you to have some fun so you can take any any paint any paint manufacturer any color and you mix it in here how long does it take to mix up set up and get ready to start caulking so let me give you one disclaimer any waterbased pain right if you put solvent based pain in here it won't mix bad news bad news so not good um but but it takes about 3 minutes to mix it up right you put the paint in mix for a minute put the thickener in mix for another minute and then you need to let it set for about 30 minutes just to body up right and uh then you can clck it out and then it's going to out and it's going to dry to the exact color that you need it to dry to so absolutely amazing so where would you actually use this I mean what what do you think would be the most common thing so so couple of the most common applications that I see are for prepainted siding right you get the touch-up paint that goes in here beautifully and then also for Cabinetry you know cabinet guys usually pretty particular you know they like a perfect match you can put stains in here as long as it's water based too uh to to make a stain cing which is pretty cool and it actually is simple and easy to use I mean can do it yourself we going do it right I've done it well that I guess that explains everything ex exactly I I and I actually I have a video demonstrating you know how to use this stuff so if you want to go check that video out on paint live TV I've used it demonstrated it you'll see how fast and easy it is to set it up and get caulking with the colored caulking exact color colorant sealant from sasco I love filming with you [Music]
