Rusty Wallace Visits Former Blue Max Racing Shop: 1980's NASCAR History Hiding in Plain Sight!

What happens here

Rusty reflects on his five best years in racing (1986-1990) with Blue Max, which he credits for his growth and learning. He explains his career progression, from racing in the American Speed Association with Mark Martin and others, winning a title in 1983, and then getting his 'big break' with Cliff Stewart's Gatorade team in 1984, winning Rookie of the Year. He then received a call from Barry Dodson, the crew chief at Blue Max, to drive the Folger's car, which led to his successful period with Blue Max Racing.

Goal: Trace Rusty Wallace's early racing career and the start of his Blue Max Racing journey.
