Rocky Mountain Race Week Day 6: Uncle Rob Yukon Sets New Best ET!! (Bonus: BluePrint Engines Visit)
What happens here
Once the tuning is complete and the vehicle is loaded with E85, head to the drag strip. Perform several quarter-mile runs to test the new tune and establish a baseline performance. The driver (Uncle Chet) attempts to improve his quarter-mile time. For maximum launch, hold the brake while applying throttle (brake boost) to build boost before releasing the brake. Experiment with different staging techniques, including fully staging and using neutral rev/brake boost, to achieve the best 60-foot and overall quarter-mile times. Keep track of elapsed time (ET) and trap speed (MPH) to monitor progress.
Goal: Achieve a personal best quarter-mile time by refining launch techniques and testing the E85 tune.
