truck brand new for his farm in 1954 dad wheeled my ass rocky mountain race week day six it's race day in kearney but first we're going to the blueprint factory with all the other youtube guys not sure exactly what we're going to do there but uh i might have some tricks up our sleeve with derek maybe we'll see oh well i guess we're just like everybody else at the event now so i just got the camera off this guy comes up and he's like i got a present for logan and we're like what is that he said it's a hatchet so you can cut down a christmas tree or so you can take a couple swings at a christmas tree and then i can finish cutting it down [Music] okay i've reached the stage in my life where i give everything away because my kids don't want it an old hatch that i had out in the shop i cleaned it up and put this thing on so you wouldn't kill uh cut yourself you said you needed to cut down the christmas tree thank you that's really cool that's really cool it's sharp be careful i way back from sturgis i slept in the back of elvis in a pilot flying j down the street and i came here just to see if i could talk to sean i never met sean before but i showed up and i walked and said hey is shawn here i know like he's in a meeting i take a message i'm like no i'm just kind of stopping by i want to talk to him about the 632 in the suburban because uh i had started that dialogue well over a year ago but the person i had been talking to like left the company or something kind of lost touch so i showed up here i drove four hours out of my way to come here mind you with no guarantee of anything and i got nothing i showed up here and the secretary shoot me away but then uh i tagged him in a post that i was in the parking lot and the guy who ran the page messaged me gave me his email and that's the start of the whole dialogue that eventually led to that whole thing happening because i didn't i didn't give up and i drove freaking four hours out of my way and slept in the back of my truck just to get shoot away the front door there's a little story for you where should we park at where's everybody else's cars are we the first people here we just poured this concrete yesterday we're putting six new horizontal machining centers in it what did a bird a bird you you don't just take a dump on uncle rob and get away with it i don't know exactly what happened i don't know if the compressor locked up and that's why the clutch busted or if it yeah if the clutch broke i really don't know it looks like there's grease splatter on the the tensioner down there so that makes me think something something broke but i don't know it definitely busted nicole compressor we'll serve the noble life that's for sure i guess we're going to be filming some stuff in here always i'm wearing a microphone i've never worn a microphone in my freaking life i don't think anyone ever cared what i had to say until now this is a cool office very cia vibe with the gray walls and stuff what did he said derek had some problems he's that's why he's not here yet yeah he was running a little late just gonna check a spark plug here make sure that it's not all fouled out i'm gonna check a couple on that side before i commit to changing all of them because i'll have to pull the downpipe out to get those i believe so they might be fouled out from all the super rich driving the altitude hope they're not but we'll see here in a sec so derek just pulled in and uh she locked the door and we're just gonna watch him pull the door and be sad because they've made us wait here for a while so we gotta screw with him first i feel like they can see us they can't look him he's all happy he doesn't know the door is not going to we are permitted to see if we can steal an engine really yes you want to see how tight the security is i think we should we should try it you have to keep it and you can't wheel it outside but you can try but well i mean it's a little dark but the porcelain's not bad it's the straps clean i don't know we'll check another one to see it's not melted so that's all i care about so we are heading out the blueprint we gotta go eat get some e85 run back to the hotel get some stuff and head over the track meet up with jamie pop the e85 tune in here and go run a personal best that's the plan and we're sticking to it i figured we hang out we hung out here a lot longer than we're going to but it's freaking 105 degrees outside so we're like well might as well hang out in the ac longer because we don't have any in here we are our little oasis is no more we made it to the track cruising the pits now looking around we got a full tank v85 and we gotta find jamie pfi so we can use the hp tuners load the tune up i mean i've never been to this track before these pits are interesting you need the laptop we are ready for the sauce i've been waiting for you bro yeah we were blueprint and it was really hot and we're like man it's cool in here i was hanging out for a while and not melt we ran that gas tank almost completely empty yeah 26 gallons of e85 it made almost 100 more horsepower from pump gas to e85 on the dyno and that was with the pump gas timing on freaking we may melt this thing so yeah we're gonna so did you email me already yeah i just did you could confirm or deny this but it is my understanding through my own brain and word association that pfi stands for power incorporated i like it that's all i've ever known yeah but is that or i say pretty f and intense that works too yeah either way either way it's cool right we just loaded the power too yeah this thing's pretty cool it's body swapped that's like a silverado or suburban frame he put this old international thing on top of that's beautiful i think that's really cool my great grandfather bought this truck brand new for his farm in 1954. he said it would haul more beans than any other truck out there you hold all the beans now [Music] i mean we still haul trailers and stuff with the two you know we've towed cars back from race week uh two or three years in a row it does really good and then tell them about your uncle oh yeah and my uncle is the one who got this truck before [Music] he finally contacted us asked us if we wanted it when we said it uses more oil than it does yes at that time he was eight years old and we drove it across new mexico to another the next town over from where it was at and we're bouncing on the road the fastest it'll go is 55 downhills puffing smoke and he's laughing and he says um he goes down i want this to be my truck so whenever he turned 13 that's where we started the swap how long did it take you to finish it probably a year and a half that's not too bad we ended you did it all the right way that's that's freaking cool thing what's the setup in this thing like what's the what's the frame it's a 2000 silverado did you just make mounts for the body to the frame and bolt it on there the funny thing is is that's the stock the stock gmo it bolted right in wow to there and then we made some brackets back here cut off this stuff you know made brackets to the cab fitted really nice actually that's crazy does it drive like a 2000 silverado yeah wow it's got cruise control and air conditioning also did we use the silverado stuff no we um bought uh old air products air conditioner and then it is silverado cruise control that we just pulled out of the truck there's a run like what's the best time so 11 check out this square box 112. 114. i never would have noticed unless i saw the stock wheels and then the duramax tailpipe i thought that thing is frame swapped but if you had something else on there with different i would never never ever look like that we got the the exhaust from a junkyard off of a van a duramax diesel van and it fit it really nice and it's pretty quiet actually 69 million turbo nice like 35 to 37 little fuel pump on that out of the subaru that runs the coolant through there a fuel pump from [Music] yeah so i mean it's completely joking stuff awesome it's been awesome that's why i like talking to people because you know i would have just thought oh cool truck and walk down by that you don't know the the stories behind it i think that makes it all like the stories behind something are almost cooler than what the physical thing is in front of you right it's the history yeah it's like people yep it is it's been good because of course we get that time together and he works with me now he's an awesome mechanic because of that stuff you know yeah he watched every moment that's what i would say uh you build a car it builds you back because you learn things and evolve as a person through the process of putting something together and learning new things and he's turned into a great trainer that's cool oh they're filming a drive-by we just got blown off these are dad wheels because they were actually my dad's wheels oh my god there's a spider on uncle rob don't test me spiders we are running low on time to make more than one pass i don't know where chet is i don't know if he's ready or not i don't think he is he's just nowhere to be found so we're gonna pull to the lanes anyway we have not made a single run yet today so worst case uh we'll make a solo run and if we have time we'll raise chat but for event freaking participation you have to make a pass so that's first priority and we got the good tune in it now while we're waiting let's go see what they're doing or chat oh my god it's both them did you get your car working right and what not a 773. i got confused i thought we were doing a burnout condo oh and then i was informed i don't know what's going to happen this will be interesting that was a good 60 foot i wonder what that was cheater what did you do nothing well what was your mom probably think i don't even know i wasn't looking at the dashboard i was looking at how back far you are i don't know but that was like i found i thought it was i found a new level of brake boost because it started to push and then it started to really go in it consider that just break boost [Music] oh man we got him good he has no idea he's gonna hear about this video and be like that freaking mofo look at that uncle chet got stoned by almost a full second did you tell him to suck it yet um we could i don't know i don't think i have i i told him i told him to suck it through the gopro which suck at 2060 foot yeah um 82 in the eighth 103 in the quarter and this this is still garbage da it's still 5400 da which is terrible i i really think in this configuration practically ran a 12. yeah this is going to be a 12-second truck in a normal circumstance but i can break boost a lot harder but i i was in manual mode oh oh the excuses are starting already when you get out in front that quick and then you put your hazards on with that much confidence that i have been pulling on your ass at the end of the track every time see the laughings up to something what'd you do smell my exhaust smell my ethanol sniff my tailpipe that stinks like corn yeah that's not walnuts that's corn i know that did you change the tuna too yeah i had to change it i had to change anyway because of the altitude i'm like what the ethanol one in there we're doing this thing find the wind i was like when those hazards came on i was like that sounded up did something i should have smelled it when i came over last time that's what she said so mad i was like it's a must win for you i only got a 3-1 exactly come back i had to pull it out it's third period you cannot run that tomorrow you cannot run that tomorrow yeah what do i i wonder if i can put it i wonder the other one i had out of flex doing it i'm gonna call my tutor or somebody somebody here's got to be able to load it maybe maybe uh ams guys could do it calling rich right now well blame freaking air density and altitude for most of that sandbag and we would have been a lot closer race in the last two days a little bit decent yeah probably though i literally when i pulled up it just instinct i go in sport mode but if i pull it back it goes into shift mode and then it started in second and then i got out i was like what the hell did i do i was like i kind of want to run again i want to drive into the second beam before i do my neutral rev and break boos because it really started to pick up and boost up you were gone yeah i was like what the hell and then the house is over this guy i know you did me dirty at abandoned me i had to get you back and all i did was not heat something and i didn't run ac that was that's my cheats we'll be in we'll be in better d.a tomorrow so you can you can cheat again we can get you some ice for your blower no man i'll have jimmy jackson jimmy throw a freaking nozzle i don't care all right line them up oh my god my name's uncle chet and i'm mad i'm gonna call my tutor right now do the fist i got it like the arthur me yeah and then like stomp off the way you held them out you think we could hop back in line and make another run um they closed the lanes at 9 50. maybe they'll let us do it again because they're street tires i don't know we'll see let's try it [Music] i don't know what are they going to say where they can say no yeah so we managed to get back into the lanes right before they closed we're make not i can't boost as available we're gonna do the second one and i'm going to load this thing up as much as i feel like the brakes will take and see if we can knock out something better than a 13-3 i know this thing's got more and i felt it start to like really lift up so let's see what happens chet had no idea huh chet knew something was up afterwards because he's like like you put the hatters on that early you were too confident to not be blew these doors off dude it's time for you to go all right [Applause] let's go guys we're doing it i'm loading it up all the way all right uncle rob let's see what kind of 60-foot you can do [Music] oh that was way better that felt strong no joke like this feels pretty dang quick fast as i ever felt it oh my god i am so pumped to get back and shove a cam in this thing and turn the boost up because i got i got the buff now 13-2 and 102.99 a 1968-60 foot that's the best one man we get some boost in an actual boost controller in this thing with some dome pressure uncle rob's gonna be cutting some 60 foots i'll tell you what like be ready uncle rob is coming for you and you will never know where he is because he looks just like all of the other uncle robs everything loaded up here good to go robert from forest performance needs some generator for his gas needs some gas for his generator and he's had a couple beers so we are going to go get some gas for his generator and he's going to let us use his jug to go get e85 so we have some to put in the tank once we get to great bend tomorrow because the closest 85 degree bend is like an hour away well it is 1 31 in the morning just finishing up editing this video now i'm tired today was awesome jet can suck it uncle rob is finally fast-ish it feels really good i'm excited to go to great bend
