Rocky Mountain Race Week Day 4: Colorado Cruising to Race Day! Uncle Rob Visits South Park & Walnuts

What happens here

Before attempting a full pass on the drag strip, perform a test drive on the street or in a designated area. The goal is to confirm that the tuning adjustments have resolved previous issues like engine bogging and ensure the vehicle shifts properly. This step helps verify the car's responsiveness and stability before subjecting it to the stresses of a race. This verification reduces the risk of further issues during official runs.

Goal: Verify engine performance and stability after tuning adjustments.

can i say i'm done it's the ugliest wheel gmc ever made so we got that tune flashed in here and it you know it doesn't doesn't want to die when it's in drive it doesn't do anything weird it's been okay so we'll see if the the smoothed out map um does all right we're just going to go on the street and roll into it a little bit make sure it works so we don't have to wait in the line to make a pass just to find out it doesn't work so it never died and i ran through the first gear or second gear once and it seemed okay until it got to about you know 5500 rpm and it started to break up a little bit it's like out of its it's a lot better a lot better than it was it doesn't doesn't want to die if i just punch it from a stop either so hopefully uh we can make another couple tweaks and fix it
