Rocky Mountain Race Week Day 2: The First Drive!

What happens here

After completing the run, the participant collects their time slip. The slip shows a 10.046-second elapsed time (ET) at 138.44 miles per hour. Reviewing the time slip, they note that while their 60-foot time improved by a tenth of a second, the mile-per-hour remained nearly identical due to the higher elevation at this track. They decide to accept this time for their average, acknowledging it's 'day two' and they don't want to push the vehicle too hard too early in the week. This time is then submitted to the event organizers, along with the checkpoint photo, to validate their participation in this leg of the race. They also briefly chat with fellow racer Doug, who also completed his run and is packing up his parachute.

Goal: Analyze race performance and fulfill event reporting requirements.

10-0-138 [Music] what the heck we're doing that again maybe i don't know i'm not sure was a better 60 foot than last time but the mile an hour was the same like brent said the elevation here is higher so the boost duty i added kind of washed out exactly but it went 1004. man i'd be doing really well in the tenno class right now but i'm not doing that because i left with like some actual effort this time still not very much almost nothing at all but still more than just idle and we went 1004 at 138 so we took a 10th off to 60 foot still went 650 to the eighth mile an hour almost dead nuts even man i'd really i really want to run a number but it's only day two and that still brings my average down so it still makes it easy to offset later in the week with a better pass when there's less on the line i don't want to take it but i think i'm going to take it it's the right thing to do i hate it but it's the right thing to do how'd you do still pushing a little oil but i mean i am too i got just the perpetual little oil puddle the top of my head just you know it's cleaner it gets bigger you wipe it and comes back in a pass or two ls yep just regular maintenance yeah routine maintenance got my time slipped turned in took the 10-0 what happens is you uh turn on your times at the end of the day and they give you the direction sheet tells you where to go how to get there where the checkpoint is and uh you gotta show them a picture of your vehicle at the checkpoint to be like to have your time entry like official where i'm not in contention for anything so it's not really like a big deal all that does is verify that you went out of the way and followed the specific course uh that the event designates to make sure you drove the specified amount of miles and didn't have any help but all that stuff if you're uh if you're gunning for a win in any of these classes that's something that's extremely important to do if you missed that you're screwed mr seven seconds out here backed it up back it up back it up faster he did see if we can't get an 80 or 70s you're going for the seven average for the week i'm going for a seven at every track i feel like that's a win i think that would definitely be a win i never been like a custom license plate type of guy but i think if i do that i'll make it say like seven second lt or something like that yeah if if you earn it then you can you gotta let people know yeah like you work hard for that you can plot it do you mind reaching up and…
