Restoring a 1800s Tool for my Wife. Because I was to Cheap to Buy New.

What happens here

Place a piece of brown paper under the cutter blade to catch any debris. Unwrap a piece of gummy taffy and place it under the blade. Press the lever of the antique cutter down firmly to cut the taffy. Observe how easily and cleanly the taffy is cut. Repeat the test with a different type of taffy, such as peppermint taffy, to further evaluate performance. For comparison, also attempt to cut the same taffy with the original modern miter cutter to highlight the advantages of the restored antique tool.

Goal: Verify the efficiency of the restored cutter and compare it to a modern miter cutter
