Apply First Coat of Paint

What happens here

Once the second coat of primer is dry, prepare your chosen exterior acrylic latex paint (Sherwin-Williams Latitude is used here). Apply the first coat of paint using a roller to quickly cover the surfaces, then immediately back-brush with a quality brush to ensure an even finish, eliminate roller marks, and work the paint into any textures. Don't worry about minor light spots, as the second coat will cover these. Apply a heavy coat of paint to slow the drying time and improve leveling, especially beneficial on dry or hot days. Allow the first coat to dry completely as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
