What happens here
Observe the inside of the Proflex adapter to see that one side has a thicker rubber gasket to accommodate the smaller copper pipe. Slide this side of the adapter onto the copper pipe first. Then, insert the ABS pipe into the other end of the adapter, ensuring both pipes are pushed in securely.
