What happens here

This video provides a concise guide on how to troubleshoot a non-functional exhaust fan by first removing the cover and then testing the power supply to the motor. It demonstrates how to use a non-contact voltage tester or a common household appliance to determine if the motor is receiving power, which helps diagnose whether the issue lies with the motor itself or the fan's switch/wiring.

Hey folks, that fixing guy. You're here because your exhaust fan stopped working. Well, was it the switch or was it the motor? Take the light out, get it out of your way. Grab the cover, pull it down. Two little clips on both sides, push them in, pull it down, get that out of your way. Here's your motor. It's actually plugged in right here to a little too-pronged outlet. Okay, I've got an outlet tester. Take this, stick this right up in there. We've got power. Motor's bad. If you don't have one of these testers, well, you know what? Grab a hairdryer. That'll plug in there. Anything with two prongs is going to plug up in there and you'll be able to test and see if it works. I really hope this tip helps. Please subscribe, click that like button. We'd love to have you keep coming back.
