Putting a Lawn care trailer together

good morning you guys we got a busy one today we're gonna be heading down to and Kenny Iowa to build the ultimate lawn care trailer with Ballard innovations and I know what you're thinking Iowa how bad can that be but I actually grew up down in that neck of the woods and Iowa's not as bad as you would think there's tons of corn-fed farm girls everywhere you look so let's get this thing going [Music] Oh baby my two favorite gas stations across the street from each other but question for you what's your favorite gas station I'm going to the Love alright boys we made it how you doing Corey good buddy Senor good to see you again yeah that's how you doing buddy stay up nice to meet you all right so today guys what we're gonna be doing is we're gonna be showing you how these guys built the trailers for their own yes we got a lot of crews that there's a lot of the products that whatever they every product that we sell we have had on trailers and set up for our own use some of the products we've designed and built for ourselves and some of them obviously we are a distributors for but we're gonna walk through show you guys the product what they do how they work and aside how they work for your trailer the first product is called the EZ gate and Corey's dad Bob actually invented this 20 years ago my dad actually built this cuz we were lifting these heavy gate over and over and over and you let them slam to the ground the welds break loose it's dangerous the cool part about the EZ gator's there's other Gates's assists out there but with this you just need one which leaves the other side of your trailer open for other year and so a lot of the other ones out there you gotta put one on each side so really with the couple fingers you can lift and lower this skate the nice thing about it is if you want to get it any lighter we've got the adjustable chain linkage here we're gonna take 85 to 90 percent of the weight off the gate I could pull a couple links out of here and get it so light that you could flip it up I mean a lot of guys flip them up with their foot so it just makes a huge difference we click on next Cory I want to put the comb caddy on the back that okay so what we've got here guys is the cone County so what we think is really important on most job sites is having safety cones so we put three safety cones out come with the marketing sign as well so this is a steel marketing sign whether you're hiring great people are not it's a great message you can put your phone number on here this is steel you can also put a magnet on there if it says free cleanups free estimates whatever it is you want to put there it's on your website so on the website called the cone caddy some guys don't run the marketing sign they just put their license plate right there which is a nice place to keep it safe oh cool what's next Corey I'm gonna walk down this side with the trimmer' accent blue Iraq my original plan was to help do the install on these things but it became pretty apparent pretty fast at Corey and Bob I've got this thing dialed in and don't need my help so now Corey you consider the green touch to be the Cadillac of trimmer racks is that right I do I believe the best on the market they've got a lot of great features lockable they're built tough got the quick release you can get them off keep the same so you've got one key to keep everything together we've also got the end here so when you're running along you're not putting all that pressure on the shaft of the trimmer so we also sell the trimmer head cover to keep protected if you're getting rained on but the instant support kit is key and these lock right in here push that in it's locked then you've got the quick-release atop will release everything in the trimmer in place there we've also got the Darwin grips on these trimmers and just totally changes the way you trim the way you hold the trimmer the leverage point you're not hunched over these darwin grips are great out on any trimmer can you show me how the release function works yes so just right up top here you've got the quick release which allows it to come right back out not individual locks so quick release pull it right back out and it releases all of them it releases all of them when you want to lock it push that in you're good to go and that's how you lock it that's pretty amazing what are we installing next put the backpack on which is one of our bestsellers to keep your backpack lower rack safe and secure now on your own trailer you're going to have to drill your own holes and these guys are using carriage bolts with lock nuts to make sure everything is secure guess we've got the backpack blower rack going in here it's going to work on all your different brands all different sizes the tube goes right on the back they come with the short and long closing arms so all the different brands as these blowers get bigger and bigger it's gonna work on all your different brands locks in place you've got your key right there you cannot get these things out they're completely safe that quick release on top easy to get in and out what's that we're gonna put the toolbox on yes so we got the TPX 100 toolbox guys this also has the quick-release lockable got a stainless wok top on us if you need to work on some few things in here it's waterproof so you can keep inside we got our Cujo shoes which we sell here in protection safety glasses cut the first aid but the fire extinguisher kid inside you can keep tools in here anything actually you need to keep on the jobsite and keep it secure and quickly ladies locks in place can you show me how this quick-release works on this one yeah so very simple just opens it up next thing to get installed is the water cooler rack that's that 5-gallon any brand of 5-gallon water-cooler mount right in here so you guys can stay hydrated when you're out there working really simple we've got the quick clasp around here lock it in place tighten it down very simple we try to keep it on the inside too so you're not on the street side and next we're gonna go around front put the line school rack on and we're gonna keep working our way around yes we've got the XD 105 which is a line spool holder to hold the three pound and five pound any brand we've got the samurai fury line that we sell cool thing about this is guys it keeps it in place the other really nice thing is you don't have to have snips with you so you can go right down here cut your line so you don't have that simps with you you can cut the line at any link that you want do that again for you bring it right down here pick your line okay so Cory can you explain to me this fuel system because this is something that I think I want yeah so it's a 15 gallon all steel d-o-t certified it's got the d-o-t sag right on top it's a gravity-fed tank so we built the rock to get it up in the air which also helps us get a few accessories underneath it but it's got the closed off valve here you can lock the handle of course but everybody has to kind of decide where they want to put this I get a lot of different guys asking where to put this we really like this setup getting it up and out of the way so I like it spread gravity-fed yeah the pro fuel 15 gallon all steel tank it's only available around I've had the hand pump ones I've had the ones you hook up electrically a you know what I mean and nothing but problems I've heard gravity always works though where you want to put it on your truck and trailer guys were worried about Jack and I - but again locks it right in place you know a lot of guys have trouble with keeping these nice not they're using unnecessarily but they're sliding around in the back of trucks and trailers comes with the bracket can go into truck trailer some guys are actually mount these brackets in their garages or the workshop so when they're not using their bagger they're able to hang it on the wall or hanging on the shop keep it safe they're not using it what are we putting on next I'm gonna walk around here we're gonna put on the multi-tool cage which holds your handle all right can you see my receding hairline it's funny Mike I don't see it but what I see myself on video my brands gonna work in this multi-tool cage one of the features we just changed because these get bigger and bigger as we've opened up the top so that all has again same quick release same paddle lock system but it allows the handler to come through the top right here for your taller handheld blowers a lot of guys are still running these next up Corey and Bob are going to install a fuel cage all right I've got 35-gallon sure can it's the new version three of the fuel cage you've got it for five gallon and the 2.2 we've also got other fuel cages for different styles again locking it right in place the same concept you're starting to see a lot of this got the lock right there again you can key them the same and then on most situations you can bring this nozzle down obviously we got a tire right here cuz we've got a smaller trailer this is the best spot we could find to put it for right now for this demo trailer but we're maxing this trailer we got this is a 14 foot a 14 foot trailer we got a lot of stuff on here guys so you have to pick and choose what fits for you and where to put it next thing that gets installed is a backpack sprayer rack so we've got the XF 107 which is going to hold any of your backpack sprayers in place three gallon five gallon four gallon I've got the commander Pro here which is a 18 volt 3 gallon electric sprayer you're able to lock these right in place it just keeps your sprayer safe right on the side of your truck good to go we've got these in two different sizes guys you slide right into place you pull your place pull this pin lock it down I'm gonna fail you putting the mower in place should we take it or not pull the front pants slide it right out of place this lets you mount duel mowers you can have one more in front of another you just pull that right out of the way [Music] this is it this is do t states Nathan L 50 states it meets or exceeds the front side to side and rear movement on any machine under 1500 pounds and it comes in two different sizes for different size front tires to back out and release your mower you just simply hold that pin and you're free [Music] all right Cory so we've got this thing wrapped up no we're not stuck keeping this up in any one certain spot right right you can put it anywhere that makes sense for your trailer and your setup so what you guys can do if you don't want this mounted here and you want it motor back there you got a pre-drill or you got to drill your hole see any one of these pieces of equipment can go anywhere exactly we've got more racks as well hedge trimmers and all kinds of different things that you know whatever your business looks like whatever tools you need you've got the option to put it anywhere you want I got a question for you yeah last time I was here you gave the guys a coupon it is dirt monkey one word no space some of you guys used a space last time and said it wasn't working dirt trailer all right let's go check that out go that thing that you love [Music] [Applause] be in the darkness 4:40 so a lot of the tools you've seen on the open trailer actually work equally as well on the enclosed trailer but there are some changes that we will cover I like to keep the water turn it right around the side door easy to get to for the guys if you got a sliding door so you can get your fluids right here on the side you guys running enclosed trailers want to keep this up on the wall you got to make sure it's secure lock safety on the wall and this is your hand shovel rack right here you're here tools up against the wall here rakes heart shovels anything you need right against the wall and say okay I didn't know you can put the line floor on the yeah so it actually mounts right to the cone caddy so I could load that up for if you'd like and I show that yes this is a really nice setup you're able to put your line spool right at the back here again and as I showed you guys earlier all these have the automatic cutter right there so you can just bring the line out we need to cut it snip it right there your cones right at the back of your trailer get those cones out every time you stop people pay attention to your company safer take notice of your logo your brand see it's a great thing we put three cones out on every job site [Music] locked in place there no these are vinyl codes this is there's a difference yeah so this trimmer rack is our vinyl coated which a lot of guys on enclosed don't necessarily need the security of the locks like the other ones because the trailers locked up so these are a little bit different setups this is a vinyl coated classic series so you can still run your pins through I'll show you guys in this thing you can still put a lock on them but it seems like most enclosed guys some of the guys still like the old style [Music] knock those in place put your PIN through the bottom locked in place right there again not the same security
